Rules Are For Other People
People with narcissism have a sense of self so inflated they tend to see other people as beneath them. This also applies to rules, both laws and social norms. While they may appear to abide by the laws, it will only be for as long as it suits them. This disregard of the system can include:
- Cheating: People with narcissism are often unfaithful, as they are frequently looking for a perceived 'better' partner.
- Playing the system: While other people wait in lines, or faithfully file their taxes, these individuals will take advantage of this for their own benefit.
- Ignoring rules altogether: From stoplights to speeding restrictions, people with narcissism will only follow the rules as long as they suit them.
