This beef cut is typically taken from top sirloin or top round and is flattened with a meat tenderizer to leave the trademark cube indentations.

Cube steak can be used for so many fabulous recipes; it's easy to get creative in the kitchen with such succulent steak.

A flavorful curry complements quality cube steak and makes for a memorable meal with a spicy kick. Heat onion, garlic, and cut pieces of steak in a skillet along with three teaspoons of your chosen curry powder. Add two cups of beef stock and any additional seasonings before bringing the mixture to a boil. Let simmer for up to an hour until the beef is tender. Add a touch of cilantro on top and serve with Jasmine or Basmati rice.

Beat one egg and a tablespoon of water, dipping the steak in this mixture before coating with the breadcrumb mixture. Brown the meat in vegetable oil for up to five minutes on both sides. Bake for at minimum one hour until meat is tender, and sprinkle mozzarella cheese on top for added flavor.

Chicken fried steak is a classic homestyle meal, especially when generously covered in country gravy. Mix a half cup of flour with teaspoons of salt and pepper, as well as one lightly beaten egg, in another bowl. Dip the steak in the flour before coating it in the egg mixture and the flour once more. Fry the steak until crispy and golden brown, up to five minutes on each side. Make your own gravy with two tablespoons of beef or duck fat melted over medium heat. Add two tablespoons of flour and slowly pour in 3/4 cup of milk and 1/4 cup of chicken broth. Simmer and season with salt and pepper to taste.

These are super easy to make, as you just need to choose your preferred seasoning, add in the butter, and get ready to fry up your steak.
